About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNAs) to provide high-quality care and support to patients in assisted living facilities, home health environments, and other healthcare settings. As a GNA, you will play a critical role in assisting patients with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
Help patients with mobility, including transferring, repositioning, and ambulation.
Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and report any changes to the supervising nurse.
Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for patients.
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
Follow individualized care plans as directed by RNs or LPNs.
Assist in maintaining patient dignity and respect at all times.
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
Active GNA certification in the state of Maryland.
Current CPR/BLS certification (required).
Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience (preferred, but some positions may accept new GNAs).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
